UFMJ 2017 National Gathering

“...if our sisters can stand up for what is right while facing threats and actual assassinations, we surely cannot sit idly by and allow this business to carry on, protected by ruthless international actors operating with complete impunity."

Join us for a weekend of learning, sharing and planning for action!

We have heard over and over again about the serious human rights violations associated with Canadian mining companies operating abroad and within Canada, especially in the unceded territory of Indigenous communities.

Don't let apathy overwhelm you! Join us to find out how you can be part of the growing movement to defend the sacred - Water, Land and Life - and a national movement to make mining companies more accountable for their actions.

Over the course of the weekend, we will meet at the Sandy Saulteaux Spiritual Centre, just an hour outside of Winnipeg, where we will hear from partners from the Global South and Canada speak about the impacts of Canadian mining, with lots of time for follow up and action planning.

More information is coming soon! Check back often or feel free to contact us if you want to be included on our list to find out more information.

See you in 2017!
